💼 About This Role

You'll support the development of turbopumps for Storm and Typhoon engines at The Exploration Company, a startup building reusable orbital vehicles. Your core impact will be defining and executing subcomponent test strategies and performing high-precision mechanical assembly of turbopump hardware.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Define and implement subcomponent test strategies for turbopump maturity.
• Design test assemblies and tooling for component-level tests.
• Prepare and execute assembly procedures for turbopump test articles.
• Lead high-precision mechanical assembly of bearings, rotors, and seals.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's in aerospace or mechanical engineering (Master's preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in turbopump design or testing.
• Hands-on experience with pump or rotating machinery testing.
• Solid understanding of cryogenics, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.

✨ Nice to Have

• Exposure to dynamic seals and high-duty bearings.
• Familiarity with rocket propulsion tools (CEA, CoolProp, RefProp).
• Experience in statistical analysis or data-driven methods.
