You'll lead the design and deployment of advanced control systems for autonomous vehicles at Field AI, a company building risk-aware AI for real-world robotics. You'll own controller safety layers and bridge research to field-ready solutions, working on off-road vehicles. This role combines deep control theory expertise with practical field robotics deployment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Model vehicle dynamics for motion planning baselines
• Design and implement computationally efficient control algorithms
• Develop low-latency safety behaviors for autonomous fleets
• Deploy and test control schemes on physical robots in field

📋 Requirements

• PhD or MS with 3+ years in robotics or controls
• Expertise in predictive/sampling-based control (MPC, MPPI)
• Proven deployment of control algorithms on physical robots
• Experience with C++, Python, and ROS1/2

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with off-road or safety-critical robotics
• Knowledge of containerization (Kubernetes) and DevOps
• Prior technical leadership of robotic platforms
