Description

You will join a highly collaborative product team at the core of our production facility, turning digital models into physical elements at scale. As a Senior Software Engineer (PLC/OT), you'll work with your team to evolve the traditional MES-like architecture integrating PLCs via OPC-UA into a future-proof software-defined manufacturing solution. You'll be responsible for operating and troubleshooting the software during factory hours.

Requirements

• Experienced software/automation engineer with PLC programming or OT technology knowledge
• Willingness to adopt modern software engineering approaches (code reviews, testing, CI/CD)
• Experience operating and supporting large software or OT systems
• Experience in logistics or production with strong operational culture
• Willingness to travel to production site in Richen and attend team events

Responsibilities

• Understand existing PLC/OT code and make it understandable for the team
• Evolve current architecture to a software-defined manufacturing solution
• Monitor, maintain, and improve software availability, latency, and efficiency
• Act as a bridge between digital product development and physical logistics/production systems
• Help define and monitor SLAs/SLOs and KPIs like OEE for critical systems
