Description

You will develop custom optics and imaging systems for Neuralink's surgical robot, impacting everything from sub-micron imaging to laser scanning. Work with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to design, prototype, and build optical systems from conception through implementation.

Requirements

• Exceptional ability in optical engineering or related field
• BS or higher in Physics, Optical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
• 3+ years optical engineering experience
• 2+ years Zemax or equivalent optics design software
• Practical experience in designing, testing, and reliability hardening optical systems

Responsibilities

• Design and simulate optical imaging systems
• Test, verify, and maintain robot vision systems
• Design and develop custom laser interferometry and manufacturing systems
• Build and test beam-scanning instruments
• Develop image acquisition and processing software
