Description

You will support Acadia Europe by contributing hands-on technical expertise to identify, prototype, and deliver technology-enabled improvements across the European organization. This internship provides hands-on exposure to applying AI and automation in a real-world pharmaceutical setting, allowing you to gain insight into cross-functional operations, regulatory considerations, and decision-making processes.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with hands-on interest in AI, automation, and technology-enabled process optimization
• Ability to translate business problems into practical technical solutions
• Structured, analytical mindset with the ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions
• Fluency in English
• Interest in the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry strongly preferred
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment
• Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and test automation and AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency, quality, or speed of work across functions
• Apply up-to-date knowledge of AI, automation, and emerging technologies to identify relevant and feasible use cases within a regulated pharmaceutical environment
• Work with multiple functions to understand workflows, challenges, and opportunities for improvement
• Identify, scope, and deliver small to mid-sized projects with clear business value
• Develop proof-of-concepts, prototypes, solution designs, or implementation recommendations
• Communicate technical concepts, progress, and outcomes clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Present findings and recommendations in a structured manner
• Participates in team meetings, planning sessions, and strategic discussions to gain exposure to business operations and contribute insights where appropriate
• Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and alignment with company values in all interactions
• Completes a capstone project or final presentation summarizing internship contributions and key learnings
