💼 About This Role

You'll own major aircraft subsystems from concept through flight at Skyways, designing hardware and iterating based on real-world performance. Your work will directly impact autonomous cargo aircraft that are already flying missions for the U.S. military and commercial customers.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own mechanical subsystems from concept through flight validation
• Design structural and mechanical components for autonomous aircraft
• Develop prototypes and iterate designs based on flight data
• Lead subsystem design reviews and drive system-level integration

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Experience with complex hardware systems like aircraft or robotics
• Strong CAD and mechanical design experience
• Experience taking hardware from concept through deployment

• Experience designing aircraft structures or flight hardware
• Experience with composite materials or lightweight structures
• Experience in startup or rapid hardware development environments
