Description

As a Sheet Metal Technician at SpaceX, you'll operate and maintain equipment like laser cutters and press brakes to fabricate high-tolerance parts for Starship. You'll assemble flight hardware, read blueprints, and use inspection tools to ensure conformance to specs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 1+ years of experience working with machinery in a shop environment
• 5+ years of machine operating experience preferred
• Experience operating equipment in a high-volume sheet metal fabrication shop preferred
• Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain laser cutters, press brakes, water jets, and roller machinery
• Assemble basic flight hardware including torqueing fasteners
• Read basic blueprints to ensure parts meet engineering specifications
• Use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and thread gauges to verify hardware conformance
• Fabricate complex, tight tolerance parts from steel, aluminum, and other sheet metal materials
