💼 About This Role
You'll define requirements and trade architectures for solar arrays supporting artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. You will select and qualify materials and vendors while developing processes for welding, adhesion, and lamination. This role interfaces across multiple engineering teams to ensure end-to-end integration.
🎯 What You'll Do
- Define requirements and trade architectures for solar arrays.
- Select and qualify materials and vendors for solar arrays.
- Develop and qualify processes for welding, adhesion, lamination of solar cells.
- Interface with systems engineering, power electronics, structures, thermal, and mission assurance teams.
📋 Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience with design, manufacture and verification of photovoltaics or similar composite structures.
✨ Nice to Have
- Experience in the space industry developing, building, and testing solar arrays.
- Familiarity with AIAA S111 and S112 guidelines.
- Proficiency in NX, Teamcenter, Ansys, or Abaqus.
