💼 About This Role

You'll be the first HRBP embedded in engineering and research at an AI and physical sciences company. You'll design talent systems and solve complex people challenges to accelerate breakthroughs in materials and energy. This role partners directly with technical leaders in a fast-growing, well-funded startup shaping the future of science.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Serve as embedded HRBP for business, engineering and lab teams
• Partner on performance management, comp calibration, career development, and org design
• Lead employee relations with professionalism and sound judgment
• Support design and execution of performance review cycles and promotion frameworks
• Work with recruiting on workforce planning and headcount prioritization

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years of HR or people experience
• 3+ years as an HRBP embedded in an engineering or technical organization
• Background in physical products, semiconductors, manufacturing, or hardware-forward startup
• Strong command of performance management, comp calibration, employee relations, and organizational design

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience at an AI lab, deep tech company, or research institution
• Familiarity with compensation design for rare technical roles
• Experience partnering with recruiting on technical hiring strategy
