Description

You will implement educational and behavioral programs for children with social, behavioral, or academic needs in a school setting, collaborating with teachers and therapists to support each student's growth.

Requirements

  • At least 3 months exemplary performance as a Behavior Therapist with Aspire, or at least 12 months exemplary performance as a behavior therapist with another ABA provider
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (e.g., Psychology, Special Education) strongly preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • 1 year experience with individuals with Autism, intellectual disabilities, or other social/behavioral needs
  • 1 year experience in implementing and collecting data related to School-Wide PBS, Tier Plans, Direct Instruction, Precision Teaching, or other behavior analytic measures
  • Must have satisfactory background checks
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record

Responsibilities

  • Implement each student’s educational and behavioral programs under the guidance of Special Education Teachers and Board-Certified Behavior Analysts
  • Collaborate with service providers, including School Psychologists, Speech and Language Pathologists and Occupational/Physical Therapists
  • Monitor and work with students during indoor/outdoor physical activities
  • Support students during academic, related service (Speech, OT, PT), and behavioral programming
  • Assist in toileting if applicable
  • Handle challenging behaviors using effective behavior management strategies and Physical Management Techniques (PMT) as needed
  • Bend, stoop, lift, push, pull, reach, and walk for periods of time, and lift up to 50 pounds
