💼 About This Role

You'll serve as the subject matter expert on GD&T for HTS Magnet production at a leading fusion energy company. Your core impact will be translating novel designs into manufacturable and verifiable hardware by architecting inspection systems and leading risk-informed quality solutions. This role stands out because you'll directly shape quality strategy for first-of-a-kind fusion components.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Interpret design requirements into manufacturable GD&T with Manufacturing Engineers
• Architect measurement systems for large metallic component assembly
• Lead disposition of non-conformance reports with use-as-is or rework justifications
• Analyze manufacturing data using control charts and process capability studies

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years of Quality Engineering experience in manufacturing or assembly
• GD&T Mastery per ASME Y14.5 for practical manufacturing
• Metrology expertise with CMM, Romer Arm, or Laser tracker on complex geometries
• ISO 9001-2015 and Six Sigma knowledge

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with large metallic component assembly and welding
• Proficiency in Minitab or JMP for process capability analysis
• Knowledge of cryogenics
