Description

You will lead teams building Guild's data and AI platform, managing engineers, driving technical roadmap, and partnering with product and data science to accelerate AI-native capabilities. Your primary impact comes through team development and reliable platform delivery.

Requirements

• Track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams, ideally 8+ years in data/software/ML/AI engineering with 3+ years in management
• Deep familiarity with data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, dbt) and AI/ML platform architecture
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), and IaC (Terraform)
• Strong product sense to translate business needs into platform capabilities
• Exceptional communication skills for executive presentations and cross-functional alignment

Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and grow engineers across Data Platform and AI Platform teams through effective rituals and culture building
• Own hiring end-to-end for both teams
• Set and drive technical roadmap for Apollo's platform layers and data platform
• Make architecture decisions on build-vs-buy, vendor selection, and platform design trade-offs
• Champion data strategy and ensure data is accessible, well-governed, and powering key decisions
