Description

As Lead IT Systems Engineer at SpaceX, you'll lead a team responsible for IT infrastructure directly supporting launch operations, collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions for the entire launch lifecycle, and serve as liaison with the US Space Force and NASA. You'll drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure seamless functionality during critical launch windows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 3+ years professional experience, or 6+ years experience in IT administration/engineering without degree
• 1+ years of professional experience leading technical teams and/or projects
• Experience with server solutions in Linux/Windows and enterprise-grade network infrastructure
• Ability to create and maintain detailed technical documentation

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of IT professionals responsible for implementing and maintaining IT infrastructure supporting launch operations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design effective IT solutions for the entire launch lifecycle
• Provide liaison support between SpaceX and the United States Space Force and NASA
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to bolster reliability of IT systems and team efficiency
• Oversee day-to-day operation of IT systems ensuring functionality and reliability during critical launch windows
