Description

Design rugged edge technology equipment using various manufacturing processes, collaborate with hardware teams on PCBA cable design, and validate designs through environmental testing. Work through the prototype process to production-ready designs while supporting the product lifecycle.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of design experience in R&D environment
• 3D modelling skills (Creo Parametric, Siemens NX or similar)
• Experience with PLM systems (Creo Windchill, Teamcentre or similar) preferred
• Industrial and manufacturing knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

• Design rugged edge equipment enclosures using sheetmetal, turned/milled, injection moulded, cast, and extruded parts
• Liaise with hardware team on PCBA cable design and generate parts on PLM system
• Source off-the-shelf components and build prototypes, including build instructions
• Validate designs through environmental testing (e.g., MIL-810-H) at contracted labs
• Define and handover mechanical BOM to NPI team via PLM system
