💼 About This Role

You'll join a team building the Statista Connect API, a high-performance customer-facing API delivering data at scale. You'll own scalable AWS APIs and data modeling decisions that impact millions of users. Collaborate with multiple teams in a hybrid environment with international reach.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and build scalable, customer-facing APIs using Rust and TypeScript
• Own data modeling, data flows, and API reliability across AWS
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with AWS CDK and improve CI/CD
• Collaborate with data, search, and product teams on API products

📋 Requirements

• 3+ years building scalable backend systems and APIs
• Strong experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS/SNS) and AWS CDK
• Solid programming in Rust, TypeScript, or similar languages (C/C++, Python)
• Experience designing APIs for external customers
