Description

You will act as a principal custodian of power and natural gas market models, performing quantitative consulting tasks such as developing market scenarios, evaluating energy technologies, and running simulations. You will manage engagements, develop industry-leading models, and oversee junior staff, presenting complex findings to clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in operations research, economics, computer science, finance, or engineering (Master's preferred)
• Minimum 2 years professional experience in power and/or natural gas market modeling using AURORAxmp, PLEXOS, PROMOD, or Encompass
• Previous project and client management experience
• Strong interest in power and natural gas market modeling
• Excellent presentation and writing skills, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Act as principal custodian of power and natural gas market models
• Perform quantitative consulting tasks including market simulations and scenario analysis
• Manage engagements involving utility integrated resource plans and commercial due diligence
• Support development of models in reliability, resource adequacy, storage, and EV/DER penetration
• Develop presentations and reports, and present findings to clients
