💼 About This Role

You'll work on Kong's proxy stack based on Nginx/OpenResty for the Gateway Enterprise product. You'll organize and prioritize complex problem resolution, debug distributed services, and contribute to both OSS and enterprise products. This role offers the chance to influence engineering culture and drive technical delivery on a key product.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Work on proxy stack based on Nginx/OpenResty
• Organize and prioritize complex problem resolution and bug fixes
• Debug and profile distributed services
• Contribute to Kong Gateway OSS and Enterprise product

📋 Requirements

• 3+ years experience in computer operating systems
• Deep understanding of Linux system runtime and networking stack
• Hands-on experience with debugging tools (gdb, systemtap, tcpdump, crash)
• Experience with public cloud providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure

✨ Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with NGINX/OpenResty-based backend services
• Experience with Lua/C programming (especially LuaJIT)
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with Kong Gateway or Kubernetes Ingress Controller for Kong
