Description

As a Backend Engineer on LaunchDarkly’s AI Configs team, you'll build the web application and distributed systems that enable customers to control, monitor, and optimize their GenAI functionality. You'll work primarily in Go and Python, collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers to improve GenAI workflows.

Requirements

• 2-4 years experience with server-side languages (Java/Scala, Ruby, Python, Golang)
• Willingness to work 2 days per week in Oakland office
• Hands-on experience building GenAI features or working with LLMs
• Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs
• Experience with distributed systems or data ingestion

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for the AI Configs product
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to improve GenAI workflows
• Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability of backend systems
• Participate in architecture and design discussions
• Take ownership of production code and participate in on-call rotations
