💼 About This Role

You'll support control design and evaluation for Mach's fixed-wing aircraft. You'll own flight-critical control laws from takeoff to landing, delivering robust performance across the full envelope. Join a rapidly growing defense tech startup with startup agility and a focus on national security.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design control systems for fixed-wing vehicles.
• Implement control laws accounting for actuator limits and sensor noise.
• Participate in system identification from wind-tunnel, CFD, and flight-test data.
• Execute verification and validation campaigns (SIL/HIL, Monte Carlo).

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
• 0-5 years designing flight control systems for fixed-wing aircraft or UAVs.
• Deep knowledge of flight dynamics and actuator/sensor modeling.
• Familiarity with C++ for embedded real-time implementations and MATLAB/Simulink/Python.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with MIMO control design (LQR, LQG, LTR) and system ID.
• Experience with PX4 and ROS 2.
• Exposure to DO-178C/DO-331/ARP4754A processes.
