You will create clear and compelling maps, charts, infographics, and interactive graphics using tools like Datawrapper, Illustrator, Svelte, and d3. Collaborating with journalists and designers, you'll produce work for a fast-moving newsroom, pitch your own ideas, and elevate enterprising journalism.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
• Experience with JavaScript/d3, HTML/CSS, and GitHub
• Attention to detail with strong typography, layout, and color skills
• Understanding of data visualization best practices
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and practices

Responsibilities

• Produce maps, charts, infographics, and tables using Datawrapper and Illustrator
• Build custom interactive graphics and story formats with Svelte and d3
• Juggle multiple projects from quick-hit news to long-term interactive packages
• Pitch and develop your own data visualization ideas
• Collaborate with journalists and designers in a newsroom environment
