💼 About This Role

You'll ensure the reliability, availability, and cost efficiency of the Airbyte-based data ingestion platform running on Kubernetes. You'll operate and monitor production data sync infrastructure, ensuring data is reliably synced from source databases into downstream pipelines. This role focuses on maintaining strong observability and cost controls across AWS resources.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Execute large-scale data migrations from legacy databases to cloud targets using AWS DMS or Airbyte.
• Operate Airbyte infrastructure and data pipelines on Kubernetes, ensuring rapid incident resolution.
• Build Python-based frameworks for automated monitoring, alerting, and ETL/ELT processing.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure costs for data sync workloads, focusing on resource tagging and performance tuning.

📋 Requirements

• 5–8 years of professional experience in Data or Platform Engineering roles.
• Expert-level knowledge of AWS DMS, Azure Data Migration, or similar replication tools.
• Strong Python skills for building custom ingestion utilities and automation scripts.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS/AKS), including pod health, rollouts, and service connectivity.

• Deep understanding of Data Lakehouse architectures and dimensional modeling.
