Description

You will serve as the company's technical and strategic lead within 3GPP RAN working groups, driving contributions to shape 5G and 6G standards for satellite integration. Your work directly impacts the development of Starlink's mobile connectivity and ensures alignment between internal engineering and global standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in STEM
• 8+ years experience in cellular RAN design or system architecture
• 5+ years experience in 3GPP standardization
• Deep understanding of 5G NR and LTE PHY/MAC/RRC layers
• Experience with NTN and satellite integration into 3GPP systems

Responsibilities

• Act as primary delegate in 3GPP RAN Working Groups (RAN1-RAN5)
• Present, negotiate, and defend company contributions and proposals
• Build relationships with 3GPP members, operators, chipset vendors, and regulatory bodies
• Draft and submit technical contributions on 5G/6G NR, NTN, RAN architecture, and spectrum
• Provide technical analysis including simulation tools and protocol analysis
