As a Family Law Paralegal at Cordell & Cordell, you will support clients during emotionally challenging family law matters such as divorce and custody disputes. Your role involves drafting legal documents, managing case calendars, and communicating with clients and courts to ensure smooth case progression.

Requirements

• 3+ years family law paralegal or legal assistant experience
• Associate's degree in paralegal studies or equivalent
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel
• Experience with legal software (Smart Advocate, Clio, MyCase, or similar)
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and legal documents
• Prepare financial disclosures, child support worksheets, and parenting plans
• Manage case calendars, track deadlines, ensure timely filings
• Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel professionally
• Handle sensitive client data with discretion and accuracy
