Description

As an Operations Partner at Bird, you'll manage the logistics of our e-scooter and e-bike fleet in Detroit. You'll collect, charge, and reposition vehicles to meet community needs, ensuring they are safe and available in high-demand areas. This independent contractor role offers flexibility to scale operations from a single van to multiple drivers.

Requirements

• Own or have consistent access to a van/truck for transporting multiple vehicles
• Access to a garage, warehouse, or commercial facility with electricity (preferred)
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License with clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods
• Flexible schedule including weekends

Responsibilities

• Transport, collect, deploy, relocate, and retrieve e-scooters/e-bikes daily
• Manage end-to-end operations to ensure vehicle availability in high-demand areas
• Perform light field maintenance checks for safety and cleanliness
• Real-time problem-solving to overcome operational obstacles
• Navigate local geography efficiently
