Description

You will plan and execute commissioning activities for HVAC and mechanical systems, collaborating with project stakeholders to ensure operational readiness and compliance with quality standards. This role involves hands-on field work, documentation, and client communication across new construction and renovation projects.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years experience in commissioning, HVAC system design, or building automation
• Bachelor's or master's in engineering (ABET accredited preferred)
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and controls/BAS sequences
• Ability to read construction documents and translate into test procedures
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, sequences of operation, and submittals to provide commissioning comments
• Develop and execute functional performance tests for HVAC systems (AHUs, RTUs, VAV, etc.)
• Coordinate commissioning activities with project managers, design teams, contractors, and controls vendors
• Manage commissioning documentation including meeting notes, test records, training verification, and final reports
• Perform job site visits to verify conditions and observe construction progress; travel up to 50%
