Description

You will review roadway images and inspection records to validate AI-generated pavement distress classifications and severity ratings, providing written feedback to improve model accuracy. This role applies your PCI survey expertise to train next-generation AI systems for infrastructure maintenance planning.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience conducting or interpreting PCI surveys
• Familiarity with pavement distress definitions and rating criteria
• Ability to consistently apply PCI methodology and attention to visual detail
• Clear written communication and ability to explain inspection reasoning in a structured way
• Experience with inspection imagery, condition reports, or roadway maintenance planning preferred

Responsibilities

• Review roadway images and inspection records to validate AI-generated pavement distress classifications and severity ratings
• Annotate or validate pavement features and distress patterns to help models identify cracking, rutting, spalling, patching, weathering, and other conditions
• Provide written feedback explaining where models misidentify features or misinterpret severity levels
• Clarify how inspectors distinguish between similar distress categories and how sampling units are evaluated
• Explain how real-world field conditions influence PCI scoring and reporting
