Description

You will design and implement search functionalities in a PaaS ecommerce Scala backend, developing in a scalable multi-tenant architecture. You'll work closely with Product Management and DevOps, and participate in on-call rotations for production systems. This role is hybrid with three days per week in Berlin or Valencia.

Requirements

5+ years experience as a Software Engineer working in search
Experience with building search solutions on Elasticsearch, Solr, OpenSearch, or similar
Willingness to continuously learn new technologies and concepts
Fluent English communication skills for international teams
Curiosity to use AI tools to improve work efficiency

Responsibilities

Design and implement search functionalities in a PaaS ecommerce Scala backend
Develop in a scalable and multi-tenant architecture
Analyze user needs and discuss technical approaches
Test software components for usability, functionality, and performance
Participate in on-call rotations with a worldwide distributed team
