Description

You will support the development of SpaceX's Starship Tower and Launch Mount, driving hardware from initial architecture through design, analysis, manufacturing, and operations. You'll own the design of mechanisms, actuation systems, fluid systems, and large structures, collaborating with software and operations teams to achieve rapid reusability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
• 1+ years of experience with CAD and FEA software
• 1+ years of experience with mechanical or fluid systems design, analysis, and hands-on assembly
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends
• Capability to safely work at heights (up to 500 ft) and in confined spaces

Responsibilities

• Drive hardware development from architecture through design, analysis, manufacturing, activation, and operations
• Own design and manufacturing of mechanisms, actuation systems, fluid systems, and large structures
• Perform structural, dynamic, thermal, and fluids analysis to determine requirements and optimize design
• Collaborate with software and operations engineers to develop robust, fault-tolerant operational concepts
• Work with Starship and Super Heavy vehicle teams to optimize tower, mount, and vehicle interaction
