💼 About This Role

You'll join the Cloud FinOps team at Hopper to manage Google Cloud infrastructure used by hundreds of engineers. You'll drive cost efficiency by automating optimizations and improving cost attribution across teams. You'll be part of a small, highly efficient SRE team with exposure to cutting-edge fintech and travel technology at a leading startup.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Reduce network egress costs by removing unnecessary headers.
• Optimize warehouse data storage (e.g., cold storage for infrequent retrieval).
• Improve cost attribution for better team visibility.
• Participate in on-call rotation for platform incidents.

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of SRE, DevOps, or software engineering experience.
• Strong GCP knowledge and experience managing large-scale infrastructure.
• Expertise in Kubernetes, Helm, and Kustomize.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Istio service mesh.
• Knowledge of Datadog for observability.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and database technologies.
