Description

As an Associate in our fire protection engineering team, you will perform life safety code consulting, sprinkler and fire alarm design, and performance-based fire engineering under the guidance of experienced engineers. You'll help ensure projects are completed accurately and in accordance with standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Civil, Architectural Engineering or related field
• 0-3 years of experience in fire protection engineering
• Passion for advancing safety and exceeding client expectations
• Effective written and oral communication skills for reports and client interactions

Responsibilities

• Perform fire protection engineering services including life safety code consulting, sprinkler and fire alarm design, performance-based design under supervision
• Develop plans, specifications, and inspection reports ensuring accuracy and compliance with professional standards
• Assist in resolving design problems through field investigations, detailed design, or coordination of design aspects
• Identify applicable codes and standards; conduct building code analyses, egress, fire detection, smoke control, and water supply reviews including hydraulic calculations
• Submit progress reports to project managers
