Description

You will drive strategic supply network development and cost management of product hardware across lifecycles by collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams in engineering, quality, and manufacturing. Your work will directly impact the affordability and efficiency of advanced defense systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical field
• 5+ years experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement, or design of electronics/mechanical devices
• Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at component/product level
• Ability to travel 10-40% of the time and relocate to Costa Mesa, CA for onsite work
• Preferred: Master's degree, experience in advanced sourcing, supplier development, early supplier engagement, high-tech products in high-mix low-volume environment, ability to obtain U.S. TS clearance

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier selection leveraging approved supplier list
• Partner with strategic suppliers for concept scoping, feature trade-offs, should cost models, and joint design development
• Drive manufacturing BOM development and consolidation, working with Quality and Manufacturing to ramp production internally and with suppliers
• Manage CAPEX throughout NPI and conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility
• Lead cost engineering activities to converge bottoms-up cost curve to product cost, maximizing total cost of ownership across product lifecycle
