💼 About This Role

You'll serve as primary counsel for product and engineering teams at Supabase, the Postgres development platform. You'll help ship products faster while managing legal, privacy, and regulatory risk. This role offers the chance to shape legal frameworks for a rapidly growing open-source company.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Advise product and engineering teams on legal issues from concept through launch
• Build scalable product launch review processes and legal playbooks
• Own global privacy, data protection, and AI governance strategy
• Support customer and GTM teams on privacy contract issues and enterprise risk reviews

📋 Requirements

• 8-12+ years of legal experience including in-house privacy counsel at global SaaS
• Experience advising technical product, SaaS, cloud, or developer tools teams
• Working knowledge of privacy, data protection, and product compliance
• Licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience at an open-source, developer tools, or cloud infrastructure company
• Privacy certification such as CIPP/E or CIPP/US
• Experience with AI and data governance or emerging product compliance issues
