Description

You will partner with customers and internal teams to design scalable cloud architectures for healthcare data solutions, guiding adoption of Abacus's core offerings like CMS Interoperability, HEDIS, and Payment Integrity. You will author architecture design documents, mentor implementation teams, and help health plans break down data silos to improve outcomes and reduce waste.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in healthcare IT space, including prior customer-facing technical role
• Strong working knowledge of US healthcare data: Medical Claims, Pharmacy Claims, Membership/Enrollment, Provider, Clinical
• Strong communication skills to leverage domain and technical expertise with clients and internal teams
• Working knowledge of GenAI and agentic AI strategies, implementation, and governance
• Working knowledge of CMS Interoperability Mandate (9115 / 0057)
• Broad technical knowledge of infrastructure, data models, databases, programming, frameworks, standards, technical modeling
• Strong experience with one or more cloud vendors (AWS / Azure / GCP) and data platforms (Databricks / Snowflake) desired
• Ability to define solution architecture vision in architecture design documents
• Experience translating business needs into technology solutions
• Experience working in payer/healthcare data space and understanding historical data architecture needs

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers' business and IT teams to understand current systems and define technology strategy roadmap
• Author architecture design documents including data flows, sequence diagrams, and overall system architecture
• Work with cross-functional teams (business experts, analysts, PMs, sales, data engineers) to implement client projects
• Collaborate with Product Management to identify client-specific requirements for standard or future product features
• Define solution architecture visions for designated components that describe long-term goals and near-term needs
• Provide mentorship to internal teams on business needs and use cases
• Provide ongoing support to address questions and issues from the implementation team
