Description

You will work as a senior technical leader on Block's Solutions Engineering team, driving complex partner and merchant integrations for Afterpay. Partner with Sales, Product, and Partnerships to understand customer needs, showcase APIs, and solve challenging technical problems that accelerate adoption. This role sits at the intersection of technology and commerce, with opportunities to influence product direction internally.

Requirements

• 8+ years in technical customer-facing roles with enterprise merchants or global partners
• Deep hands-on technical expertise with APIs, debugging integrations, and guiding developers
• Prior professional experience with full-stack development and proficiency in at least one programming language
• Strong communication skills bridging technical and non-technical audiences
• Proven success leading technical projects end-to-end in globally distributed teams

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales, Relationship Management, and Partnerships to support developers integrating with platform
• Design and deliver technical solutions including proof-of-concepts, custom reports, and sample integrations
• Act as trusted technical advisor translating business requirements into scalable integration approaches
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to surface customer feedback and influence roadmap
• Create and deliver compelling demos, presentations, and technical deep dives for executive and engineering stakeholders
