You'll architect and scale a Python-based Ground Data System for real-time satellite constellation operations. You'll build binary protocol pipelines and high-performance APIs for mission-critical command and control. This greenfield role combines technical leadership with deep engineering, making foundational decisions that will scale with a growing constellation.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Architect and scale a Python-based Ground Data System with microservices.
• Build binary protocol pipelines for CCSDS-compliant spacecraft communication.
• Evaluate and optimize MQTT broker architecture for performance.
• Integrate with ground station networks and cloud infrastructure.

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years backend software engineering experience with scalable systems.
• Expert Python skills with modern frameworks and async programming.
• Kubernetes production experience (HPA, resource management).
• Knowledge of CCSDS protocols or willingness to learn quickly.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with satellite operations or mission control systems.
• Familiarity with Grafana/observability stack.
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or equivalent.
