Description

You will lead the creation of a new Talent Development team at Canonical, a pioneer in remote-first collaboration. Your role involves designing and implementing comprehensive talent development programs, management and leadership development, and data-driven strategies to enhance our distributed workplace. You'll own leadership skills matrices, learning frameworks, and budgets, ensuring consistent and effective practices across 1200+ colleagues globally.

• Insight and experience on what makes people successful in a globally remote tech company at management level
• Ability to create, lead and execute strategy and drive change across a company
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for data-driven decision making
• Experience in people management and budget accountability

Responsibilities

• Define and implement a comprehensive talent development program
• Develop and embed management and leadership development programs for remote organisation
• Design and deliver core training programs, partnering with vendors
• Own leadership skills matrix for performance management, talent assessment, succession planning, mentorship, virtual learning and career development
• Build and manage a new team of Talent Development specialists
