💼 About This Role

You'll gain hands-on emergency medicine experience alongside credentialed veterinary technicians in a fast-paced ER environment. You'll engage in patient triage, diagnostics, and inpatient care while exploring if emergency medicine is your future. This unpaid externship offers flexibility in duration and location with real-time mentorship.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Pair with an emergency credentialed veterinary technician for real-time mentoring
• Shadow and assist with triage, outpatient visits, diagnostics, anesthesia, and inpatient care
• Practice skills required by your school's proficiency checklist with mentorship
• Explore teamwork and pace of emergency care at VEG

📋 Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology or nursing program
• Enrolled in a course that requires externship hours or skills
• Able to start the program within six months of application
• Current rabies vaccination or titer required
