💼 About This Role

You'll join GrayMatter Robotics to design and implement robust, scalable software architectures powering advanced robotic systems for automated surface finishing. You'll lead development of C++ and ROS/ROS 2 components and architect high-performance subsystems. This role offers the chance to work on production-ready automation solutions in a well-funded AI robotics startup.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and implement C++ components for ROS/ROS 2 nodes and libraries.
• Integrate sensors and actuators, developing device drivers and diagnostics.
• Architect scalable subsystems including configuration and fault recovery.
• Own components end-to-end, from design to delivery.

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years industry experience shipping production software in modern C++.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or equivalent.
• Proven track record owning and delivering components or systems.
• Experience with concurrency and real-time programming.

✨ Nice to Have

• 3+ years hands-on experience with ROS or ROS 2.
• Master's or PhD in Computer Science or Robotics.
• Expertise in debugging real robots/embedded systems.
