Description

As a Staff Backend Engineer on the KDE Query Team, you will co-own and scale a high-performance query layer that processes trillions of records daily for network monitoring data. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop new observability features and optimize query speeds, throughput, and latency.

Requirements

• 5+ years backend development with Go/C/Rust
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, high-throughput data pipelines
• Deep experience with query planning, optimization, and execution in distributed environments
• Proven track record optimizing distributed systems for hundreds of millions of data points per second
• Strong collaboration skills for remote culture

Responsibilities

• Develop new network data observability intelligence features
• Improve Query services focusing on speed, throughput, and latency
• Collaborate with engineering, support, and sales teams to drive query standards
• Solve high-visibility engineering problems related to the data-intensive query engine
