Description

You will design, build, and upgrade facilities and ground support equipment to create a high-volume rocket factory. You'll solve tough engineering challenges hands-on to enable humanity's multiplanetary future.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics
• 1+ years of mechanical and/or fluids engineering experience via project, research, internship, or professional work
• Hands-on project experience with complex fluid or mechanical production systems preferred
• Experience with CAD (NX/Teamcenter preferred) and GD&T
• Must be a U.S. person under ITAR regulations

Responsibilities

• Execute design for manufacturability changes to enhance production efficiency
• Create original CAD models and prints for flight and/or tooling components
• Perform hand calculations and FEA to develop, assess, and optimize designs
• Lead on-site design engineering contact for efficient build of parts and assemblies
• Negotiate complex trade studies to optimize cost, schedule, safety, and performance
