• Build and own Proton's media relationships in North America with journalists and podcast hosts.
• Expand coverage beyond tech press into mainstream and new media outlets.
• Respond to media inquiries across product, policy, and reputation topics.
• Support Proton's presence at conferences and secure speaking slots.
• Collaborate with the communications team on product launches and news cycles.

📋 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in PR, communications, or media relations with a track record of placing stories.
• Genuine relationships with journalists, editors, or media makers or a clear track record of building them fast.
• Deep familiarity with the US media landscape beyond legacy outlets (podcasts, newsletters, YouTube).
• Strong enough command of technology and privacy topics to speak credibly with journalists.
