Description

Join Brex as a Senior Security Operations Engineer to prevent, detect, and respond to security threats across corporate and cloud environments. You'll perform incident response, build and maintain security tools, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive security improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent training/fellowship OR 5+ years work experience
• Experience in corporate security, detection response, or infrastructure security with responsibilities for alert triage and incident response
• Familiarity with CI/CD systems and DevOps workflows (e.g. Buildkite, Flux, Git, Terraform) in cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience deploying and maintaining security tools (e.g. SIEM, data pipelines, SOAR, endpoint tooling, email protection, cloud security tools)
• Experience developing and maintaining tools written in Go and Python

Responsibilities

• Prevent, detect, and respond to security threats across corporate and cloud environments
• Perform security incident response, investigation, remediation, and documentation
• Lead, scope, and build features; design and maintain tools for corporate security, detection response, and infrastructure security
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to drive remediation of security issues
• Participate in periodic threat hunting and security exercises
