Description

As a Senior Network Security Engineer at SpaceX, you will take ownership of layer 3 networking on firewalls, designing and managing complex networks for mission, factory, and corporate environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop secure architectures and enforce best practices, playing a key role in enabling humanity's future in space.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM + 5 years network security experience; or 8+ years experience in lieu of degree
• 3+ years experience securing networks, IT infrastructure, applications, endpoints, or APIs
• Expert understanding of network security technologies including Palo Alto and Juniper firewalls
• Experience configuring complex eBGP fabrics and designing large multipath networks
• Familiarity with IPSec/TLS VPNs, web application firewalls, email security, and SIEMs

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary owner of Layer 3 networking on firewalls
• Configure, design, and manage complex networks for mission, factory, and corporate environments
• Provide subject matter expertise on network security, firewalls, and industry best practices
• Manage firewall configurations based on operational requirements
• Develop creative network solutions for operational needs with security challenges
