💼 About This Role

You'll build AI systems for dispute and chargeback handling on Affirm's Servicing ML team, working with LLM-powered pipelines and production ML models to automate customer operations. Your work will directly improve the speed and accuracy of refunds and fraud decisions. This role offers the chance to influence core financial systems at a remote-first company.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop AI systems for dispute and chargeback automation
• Build models that automate refunds using structured evidence
• Maintain evidence extraction pipelines with LLM workflows
• Prototype modeling ideas and drive best approaches to production

📋 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a machine learning engineer
• Strong Python skills and production code experience
• Experience with gradient-boosted decision trees (LightGBM/XGBoost/CatBoost)
• Experience building applications with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic)

• Familiarity with document and unstructured data processing
• Experience with ML lifecycle tooling (Kubeflow, Airflow, MLflow)
• Proficient in AI-powered developer tools (Claude Code, Cursor)
