💼 About This Role

You'll join Verkada's backend engineering team to design and develop embedded software for our cloud-connected security devices. You'll make regular contributions to production code, pushing features OTA. This internship offers mentorship from senior engineers and exposure to cross-functional collaboration.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and develop embedded and server-side software for device fleet
• Work cross-functionally with hardware team using C, C++, Go, Python
• Develop embedded firmware, drivers, and test with new development boards
• Collaborate with senior engineers to define specs for future products

📋 Requirements

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field, graduating by June 2027
• Internship experience developing and launching products
• Work experience with Embedded Linux, C, USB, I2C, and Yocto
• Familiar with Linux servers, device drivers, kernel patches, and secure OS
