💼 About This Role

You'll design and build i3D.net's Data Lake from scratch, a self-hosted open-source data platform that unifies siloed data across 60+ locations. Your greenfield build will serve as the foundation for analytics and decision-making for years to come.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design Data Lake architecture and select open-source tools
• Build reliable data pipelines ingesting infrastructure, business, and log data
• Model and transform raw data into queryable schemas
• Integrate with existing systems like MariaDB, Prometheus, and OpenSearch
• Operate the platform including monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning

📋 Requirements

• 6-8 years building and operating production data pipelines
• Hands-on experience with open-source data tools like Spark, Airflow, or Trino
• Experience building data infrastructure from scratch (greenfield)
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills
• Comfortable with Linux, containers, and Kubernetes

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with self-hosted infrastructure rather than managed cloud
• Knowledge of storage formats like Apache Iceberg or Delta Lake
• Familiarity with query engines like Trino or ClickHouse
