You'll lead engineering for a third person tactical shooter built in Unreal Engine 5. You'll drive technical direction across core gameplay, AI, and performance-critical runtime systems for a polished, scalable PC experience. This remote-friendly role offers the chance to shape a new IP with a top-tier indie studio.

๐ŸŽฏ What You'll Do

  • Lead technical direction for core gameplay and runtime systems in Unreal Engine 5.
  • Architect and optimize AI movement, perception, decision support, and navigation.
  • Partner with design, animation, and content teams for responsive, maintainable systems.
  • Mentor engineers and establish best practices for code review, debugging, and optimization.

๐Ÿ“‹ Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional game development experience.
  • Strong C++ and Unreal Engine experience including gameplay architecture and optimization.
  • Shipped or significantly contributed to complex action, shooter, or AI-heavy gameplay features.

โœจ Nice to Have

  • Experience building third person shooter or tactical combat systems.
  • Strong understanding of navigation systems and pathfinding middleware like Mercuna.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 5 AI systems (Behavior Trees, EQS, AI Controllers).
