💼 About This Role

You'll design and build precision mechanical systems for semiconductor fabrication equipment at Atomic Semi. You'll rapidly prototype and iterate on motion stages, metrology frames, and inspection tooling targeting nanometer performance. You'll own the mechanical stack from concept to build in days, not months, working alongside world-class advisors Jim Keller and Sam Zeloof.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and iterate on precision machines, motion stages, and metrology frames
• Lead mechanical system integration and cross-team coordination
• Drive mechanical design with GD&T and tolerance analysis
• Rapidly prototype and characterize new designs on the bench

📋 Requirements

• 3 years designing and building precision mechanical systems with real accuracy targets
• Working fluency in precision machine design fundamentals (exact-constraint, flexures, error budgeting)
• Hands-on prototyping and fabrication experience (mill, granite surface plate, interferometer)
• Experience selecting and integrating precision components (bearings, stages, encoders)
