Description

You will lead AI/ML research and development for humanoid robots, driving innovation projects from concept to proof-of-concept deployment. Manage a high-performing team, solve complex robotics challenges in real-time planning, whole-body control, and learning from demonstration, and collaborate with hardware and software teams to advance the data flywheel strategy.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (M.S./Ph.D.) in CS, Robotics, EE, or related field
• Minimum 8 years in AI/ML with at least 3 years in management
• Experience developing and deploying real-time AI solutions for robotics or autonomous systems
• Expertise in computer vision, reinforcement learning, and LLMs applied to robotics
• Experience managing scaling high-performing engineering or research teams

Responsibilities

• Oversee lifecycle of innovation projects from research to proof-of-concept deployment
• Drive research into novel AI solutions for real-time planning, human-robot interaction, and adaptive motor control
• Accelerate data flywheel strategy using teleoperation, synthetic data, and fleet learning
• Partner with Hardware and Robot Software teams to optimize sensor suites for future AI architectures
• Manage performance cycles, create development plans, and lead hiring to scale the team
