Description

You will lead the teams building and operating the core multi-tenant platform that sends and receives messages at massive scale across email, SMS, mobile push, WhatsApp, and future channels. Your organization will own services, pipelines, and integrations to ensure fast, reliable, and compliant message delivery, enabling product teams to innovate confidently and customers to trust their communications.

Requirements

• Track record building/operating large-scale, low-latency distributed systems
• Hands-on enough to dig into architecture, but leads through clarity and metrics
• Experience with messaging or streaming platforms
• Strong operational excellence and incident management skills
• Ability to set 12-18 month technical strategy and translate into quarterly plans

Responsibilities

• Own the messaging platform end to end with clear SLOs and scalable multi-region architecture
• Increase deliverability throughput by advancing MTA/SMS provider strategies and queueing
• Harden compliance safety in partnership with Legal/Privacy
• Accelerate developer velocity via clear APIs, SDKs, and tooling
• Build and scale a high-performing org of managers and senior ICs
